It's a relay socket, nothing complicated about that. It is well built, however agree with other reviewer, wire gauge should be heavier to accomidate the wide selection of relays on the market, which I have seen, up to 70 amp...
Was suitable for my particular application, so satisfied with my purchase, but for those others considering this, do keep in mind that wire gauge and the limitations of this socket.

The unit itself is fine, but the pass through wires are a bit small for the rating of 30/40A. I would expect to see at least #10 wires.

I use these sockets along with Tyco relays to run lights on my motorcycles. The sockets really cleans up the installation. They're easy to re-pin so the wire colors match the intended use of the relay (red for constant 12v, black for ground, etc.) I only wish that they had an 18ga wire option.

Plug fits very snugly, has nice long leads, and really cleans up the look of relay installations. No complaints here.
